Bureau

An office for your AI agents, that you host yourself. They work from a mission queue, a critic checks their work, you approve what matters, and what they learn is kept.

Bureau is made by OMAKO, Mathieu Mahoudeau's software company in Marseille. Its own site is getbureau.dev.

Updated .

What it is

  • A mission queue with claims and leases, so work has a status and a history instead of living in a chat.
  • A lead agent that splits your goals into missions, and a critic that checks each delivery against its acceptance criteria.
  • A review gate, enforced by the server: nothing irreversible ships without you.
  • A shared memory, written as plain markdown in a git repository you own.

Who it's for

People and teams who already work with AI agents, such as Claude Code or Codex, and want them to keep what they learn, work in parallel, and stop for approval at the right moments.

How it runs

A small Node server with no dependencies, or Docker, on a laptop, a server or a Raspberry Pi. Agents connect over HTTP, chat apps over MCP. The hub is open source under AGPL-3.0; the protocol and memory format are Apache-2.0.
